Why I Love TAO Asian Bistro by Robin Leach
OVERWHELMING! The dictionary uses three definitions: overpowering in strength, force or numbers; extremely large in amount or proportion; having such a great effect as to be emotionally overpowering.
It’s the perfect word to describe TAO — the largest, most spectacular, exotic and dazzling entertainment complex in all of Vegas — if not the world. Its 42,000 square feet of regal restaurant and convivial nightclub space is the newest Garden of Gastronomic Gems and fabulous fun at The Venetian. It became the hottest spot on the Strip from Day One!
TAO itself means a pathway, and the philosophy of Taoism is to follow your own path, whichever path you decide to take, whichever way you decide to live. And everybody from stars to socialites to sports giants devotedly travels the path to TAO Nightclub and TAO Asian Bistro. I’ve personally spotted celebs from Keanu Reeves to Paris Hilton, from Magic Johnson and Derek Jeter to Gwen Stefani and Pamela Anderson — who kept on her high heels and slinky yellow minidress as she jumped into one of the bathtubs, filled with water and rose petals, near the nightclub dance floor!
Expect the unexpected of ying and yang when you dine and play at TAO. I love the place. I am an unabashed fan. I loved TAO New York when I lived in Manhattan, and here I love it even more! I couldn’t be more thankful that my friends, owners Richard Wolf and Marc Packer, transplanted the Vegas sister to The Venetian. For me, TAO is the pathway to edible excellence and extravagant, exciting entertainment.
